Don’t Sweat the Little Things

Is it going to rain? What’s the traffic like? Did I submit my time sheet? Any important emails? What are my top things to do today? meetings?follow ups? Is today a birthday? An anniversary? A due date?

Wouldn’t it be great if you could wake up and read a newspaper targeted for you, your specific needs? With RSS feeds you can. RSS feeds are great, instead of checking for the latest news on half-dozen different sites, I can just grab the relevant feed.  You can also incorporate them into your marketing strategy, promoting your blog or site; And while this worked for a while keeping track of  multiple feeds became tedious my just-for-fun feeds were mingled with my work-relevant feeds so I stopped reading them all together. I decided I needed a targeted daily digest, a gazette for one, one place to hold all the news that I actually care about delivered in an easy to read format that I can consume over breakfast.

Well it was actually surprisingly easy, here’s how I did it: MailChimp

MailChimp at its heart is an email campaign service and while we all aren’t business owners you can still leverage this free service to help keep track on anything and everything important to you! After you create your account, select the RSS Driven Campaign and run through the workflow (see below), I set mine to deliver everyday at 6AM. The process is super easy and very similar to Aqua Page Builder.
