Pairs is a fast and easy card game by James Ernest, with artwork based on The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss.

From the makers of Deadwood and Unexploded Cows, Pairs is brought to you by  Cheapass Games a Seattle-based game company established in 1996 by game designer James Ernest. They make many fun, off-beat games, many of which you can learn and start playing in 5 minutes.

Pairs is card game played with a pyramid deck (10 ten, 9 nines, etc.), get a pair lose the round, lose enough and you bust. The game by its self works great, but if you are a Patrick Rothfuss fan and love The Name of the Wind as much as I do then prepare to geek out! Patrick posted on his blog about the Pairs Kickstarter and the main deck has been incorporated into the NOTW world so its 1 Tinker, 2 Amyr and so on. The preview artwork looks amazing and it will make a great addition to your collection. Bonus: If the Kickstarter is successful enough we might be able to see a Modegan deck, a University deck, and even a Faen deck. So go check out the Kickstarter for more details and watch the video below.
